A new Chicago web series created by Mia McCullough, directed and produced by Elizabeth Laidlaw and Mia McCullough.
The producers of The Haven, a web series set in a domestic violence shelter that revolves around the lives of the staff and the clients, is raising funds to shoot the next three webisodes.
On April 22 from 7-9:30 five stand-up comics will perform and sneak peeks of scenes from yet-to-be-filmed episodes will also be performed. The comedians are: Maya May, Elizabeth Gomez, Erin Lane, Sonal Aggarwal, and Mia McCullough.
Proceeds from this benefit will go toward filming the next three episodes here in Chicago, which will involve hiring all local actors and crew. If you can't attend but would like to contribute you can make a tax-free donation at this site:
Tickets are $50 and include beer, wine, and light snacks.
Doors will open at 7pm. The performance will begin at 7:30pm.
